Patrick’s practice focuses on drafting and negotiating prime brokerage and derivatives trading documentation for end users.
He has advised clients and negotiated with various dealers on prime brokerage agreements and lockups, ISDA Master Agreements, ISDA master confirmation agreements, segregated collateral custody agreements, repurchase and securities lending agreements and other related trading agreements.
Patrick also advises derivatives end-users and investment funds on the relevant provisions of the U.S. Commodity Exchange Act and ongoing regulatory changes imposed by the Dodd-Frank Act, as well as related U.S. and global regulatory developments that affect trading agreements.
Prior to Joining Koya Law, Patrick practiced law in the Chicago and New York offices of Baker & McKenzie, and at Sidley Austin in Chicago. In addition to his focus on derivatives documentation, Patrick has advised clients on a variety of banking and investment banking matters, including securitized investment products, credit facilities, global custody facilities and guaranties.
